Today was a Blue Bird day. After some early low clouds, the
sun came out and the clouds disappeared. Temps remained in the mid 20s all day.
We skied Copper Mtn and had a wonderful day. Skiing at 10,000 feet, you see a
beautiful world around you. And with very few people around you, it is even
more enjoyable. Because of the sun and elevation, sun screen was mandatory.
Even with it on, I got a little sun burned. The snow will stay around for a
long time. On a more sober note, a skier was killed at Breckenridge after
hitting a tree. The record snowfall is bringing out record crowds. Need to stay
alert. The forecast is for more snow over the weekend.
