Yesterday the temp reached 80 degrees in Denver . It was the warmest EVER for the month
of February. Records were broken all over Colorado . Today the highs for Denver will be 60
degrees. In the mountains this morning it again was warm. Temp started near
40 at 7am under overcast skies. Winds
continued to blow but not as bad as yesterday. Around 10am, a mixture of rain
and snow started to fall. By 1pm, the temp dropped to around 30 degrees and it
was all snow. We took a ride to Keystone and found out the only portion of the
mountain that was open was te front side. More than 2/3 was closed because of
adverse conditions. Lift lines were more than 20 minutes. As we returned from
Keystone, the roads became ice covered and very slippery. Once we returned
home, we stayed in for the rest of the day.
