The snow is starting to melt FAST. This morning it was 32 degrees at
8am. It was partly sunny and very windy at times. This made for slushy
conditions in and around the condo. After breakfast, I went to Keystone where
the winds were blowing around 20-25 MPH at times. Because of the wind, skiing
conditions were not as good as yesterday. The wind revealed many patches of ice
and you had to be very careful. Thank goodness there wasn't many people today.
It was so windy that the gondola from River Run wasn't operating. However I did
see a new type of snow bike. You can ride the bike standing up. The bike costs about $1400 according to
the biker. He sez it is very easy on the legs. Not sure whether I would be
interested in it. Because of the wind, many different cloud formations were in
the sky which made for spectacular viewing. Well 3 straight days of sun and
temps ending the day in the low 40s. Several more to come.
