We went to Copper Mtn to ski. About 1/2 hour after we got there, the weather turned. It became windy with snow showers. One of the things that the resorts do is to rope off one of the trails until 12 Noon. This causes many people to start lining up several minutes before noon to try and be the first skier down on a newly groomed trail. Around 1pm, the snow increased in intensity and we called it a day. On our way down, we saw a bunch of little kids participating in the Ice Cream Challenge Run. I love to watch them. They are the next Olympic champions.

Thursday 02-02-17 Happy Groundhog Day
This morning I awoke to Weather headlines - Freezing rain
and fog causing many accidents in downtown Denver . The temp was 22 degrees. As I looked
out our condo window, I saw a beautiful sunrise with a temp of 34 degrees. We
were 12 degrees warmer in the mountains - WOW. The cold air didn't make it over
the mountains. I then turned on the TV to find out what the groundhogs had to
say - Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. Six more weeks of winter. Staten Island
Chuck didn't see his shadow. Prediction for Early Spring. So your guess is as
good as mine.
